Interview with Mr. Ripon Baruah, Director, Baruah Enterprise

You have once again won the prestigious Best Partner Award from Kyocera. How does it feel winning this award for the 5th consecutive year ?
Well we feel Very Happy to Achieve this Award For The 5th time in a Row. We have worked very hard throughout To Achieve the Same and Becoming No.1 Partner Nationally means a lot to us.

Whom would you attribute this award to and how important are these accolades for you ?
At the Very Outset We would first of All like to thank Team Baruah Enterprise, All my Dealers who are very loyal  to us ,Team  KDID, for their continuous  support throughout .These Accolades means a lot to us every Achievement Is A Milestone for our Enterprise and we feel very Happy. We thank God for the same as this would not have been possible without his Blessings.

Your Service Engineer too seems to have been recieving  the Best Service award from Kyocera for the 2nd Consecutive year this time? How important is this award for your sales and service.
This is a very important award for us. We feel proud that 2 of our Service Engineers have received Best Dealer Service Award
for 2 consecutive years after competing with other Dealer Engineers of South Asian Countries. This has boosted the spirits of our Service as Well as Sales Team. We are very Happy to See Our Team be it Sales Or Service for their Continuous  Support towards the Growth of our Enterprise and feel Proud As our  Team basically were All  Fresh Recruits but with passage of time they have all developed themselves and today Are well experienced and matured.

How has Baruah Enterprise evolved over the years as a channel centric organisation also?
We were basically more focused on the Govt Segment but for the last few years we have focused on the channels also. We have been able to generate good response from the channel and this is one of the reason why we have been able to retain our Premier Partner Position Nationally for the last 5 yrs. We have tried to train the service person of our Dealers so that our Dealers can tackle the service issues at their end because after Sales Service is Very Important for growth of Any Product. Besides we have dedicated persons both in Service and Sales to Support and Assist Our Dealers for their Service & Sales issues. We are at present having a Team of 6 Service Engineers, and Branch at Jorhat to handle service issues of our Dealers as well As Customers. We hope that in the Years to Come Kyocera will become a Strong Brand in North East.

Whats your product portfolio at the moment?
At present we are dealing in Entire Range of Kyocera Digital MFPs Mono & Colour ,Godrej Vending Machines, Gestetner  Digital  Duplicators , Brother Fax Machines etc.  Our primary  product is Kyocera Products. Recently we have also taken up the distributorship of Godrej Vending Machine & Premixes and have appointed Dealers in Different Locations in North East which is yielding us good dividends.

What according to you are the effects of the Demonitisation on the IT Industry?
Well  Demonitisation  is a Challenge for Everyone. It is definetly going to effect our IT Industry. Any change will always have some shortcomings in the beginning but we think Industry will be benefitted in the long Run, with GST on the Cards lot of Changes is Coming Up. It is transition period from cash to plastic currency .Lastly  We will like to Wish Everyone A Very Happy And Prosperous New Year From Baruah Enterprise.
