Mr Nikhil Taneja Regional Director and Country Manager Radware, India and SAARC

Nikhil Taneja’s journey started from Hisar, Haryana where he was born and brought up. He completed his schooling from Campus School Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) and earned a B.Tech (Honors) degree in Computers from National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra.

Nikhil started his career with Wipro Infotech as a Marketing Executive in 1994. His passion for work and his acumen made him a performer in the organisation. In 1996, he joined Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) as the Area Sales Manager and Associate Consultant, where he was responsible for setting up ISPs in India. During his tenure with DEC, he represented India at the Asia Pacific Regional Internet Conference on Operational Technologies (APRICOT), a forum for key Internet builders and global leaders in the Internet community. He read a paper at the forum which cemented him a further in the industry. Subsequently, the company was acquired by Compaq and he was among the few who were retained from DEC. In 1998, he was invited to join Cabletron Systems as the Regional Head- North and East. He later took up an additional role of Telecom Vertical Manager- India and SAARC whereby he contributed to the company’s growth in the region.

In 2002, when Radware set foot in India, Nikhil joined as the Country Manager- India and SAARC at a young age of 28. Back then, the Indian market was working with Layer 3 technology while Radware was offering Layer 4 to Layer 7 technology. His responsibilities included creating awareness about Layer 7 technology. Under his leadership, Radware cracked the two biggest deals in the Indian IT industry’s history with IDRBT and Indian Air Force joining Radware’s clientele. Radware inducts its top performing employees to the ‘Circle of Excellence’ and Nikhil has been bestowed with the honor three years in a row - in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

He has been the key driving force responsible for the growth and expansion of the Radware market in the entire Asian subcontinent. For his rich and diverse experience that he has and the significant contribution that he has made to the phenomenal growth of Radware in the subcontinent, has seen him rise to the position of Regional Director at Radware recently.


Nikhil has donned various hats throughout his professional career. A common task across all organizations has been to establish a market for the brands, create demand, educate the audience and find opportunities in new markets.

Every year, Nikhil sets a goal for himself and gives himself opportunities for fresh growth and lessons. For him, it is all about growing and surviving the challenges ahead. Nikhil states, “To achieve excellence and success in a profession, one must be highly passionate, dedicated and logical in his approach.”

Nikhil credits his professional accomplishments to three mentors - KS Vishwanathan, Manoj Chugh and Uday Birje. When he worked with them in Wipro and Cabletron, they made a lasting impact on him in terms of their capabilities, capacity to work, passion to excel and their conversing skills.

He is fondly called NT by his friends. What most people don’t know about Nikhil is that he’s a fitness freak who loves swimming and working out in the gym. He also played the tabla and drums while in school. He believes and strongly supports social causes by participating in social activities. When he’s away from his work, Nikhil also plays the role of a proud and loving father to two daughters and a son.
