NECTA holds Vendors and Distributors get together meet

NECTA (North East Computer Traders Association) recently organized a informal get together meeting with vendors and distributors from the northeast region to chalk out channel strategies and common issues in key segments of the IT industry.

The event titled Get-Together witnessed most of the vendors and distributors from the region and was held in Hotel Kiranshree, Guwahati. NECTA President, Trideep Talukdar addressing the meet said “The objective of this informal get together meeting with representatives from the vendor and the distributors community is to generate some solutions and suggestions that could be mutually beneficial for the vendors, distributors as well as the dealer community. The agenda has to be a healthy one and interactive, where all sides must debate and finalize on certain policy frameworks to establish a healthy and growth driven IT business in the region’’. Vikash Agarwal, Secretary, NECTA said “This get together would mark the start of a healthy relation between the channels, vendors and Distributors, and we would strive to make the IT business atmosphere in this region perfect for mutual growth. We will be hoisting similar s in meets in the Future too, to discuss and solve the issues that are hindering the growth of the IT business in the northeast”.

During the meeting some of the key aspects which were discussed without naming or taking up particular issues included service issues, dead on arrival, delivery, price parity, staff poaching, payment etc. The Vendors and Distributors too kept forward their problem areas and discussed the solutions to the same.

The NECTA-Vendor-Distributor get together meet was the first step towards building a better and harmonious atmosphere of common business grounds and the members attending the meet were also optimistic that such regular interactions amongst the IT fraternity of the northeast would positively bring about a huge change in the mindset of the fraternity, which would result in the growth of IT business in the region.
